Its that time of year again. Some people dread the 'back to school' season: cold days, the dark evenings, new academic year. But not me, I like it. I feel like September is the start of a new year and, academically it is. So here's a few reasons you should love September:
1. Its a new start.
September is the perfect time of the year to start something new. Whether its a new school/college/university year, or even a brand new educational venture. You can also start a new club or hobby. You're all refreshed after summer and its the best time to just go for it and try something new. Be productive.
2. You have so much to look forward to.
Before you know it, it will be Halloween, then it will be Christmas, then it will be New Year. Family gatherings, nice clothes and large amounts of food. What could be better?
3. Its cold.
Because, lets face it, summer was good while it lasted, but a change is always nice.
4. Because clothes.
You can now swap your summer dresses for cute winter jumpers and scarves. You can swap flip flops for furry boots and you can swap denim jackets for fur coats. Layers and layers of clothes are much needed and you can go out wearing as much as you like without feeling the slightest bit warm.
5. Nights in.
Hot drinks, blankets and movie nights are sooo much better than night out anyway.
6. Hair.
If you have long thick hair like me then you will know the struggle. We can't wear it down in summer because its just SO HOT. I literally use my hair as a scarf in winter and its fabulous. Wear that hair down and natural girl.
I know there are only 6 reasons here so I'm sorry if you expected more. But we do prefer quality over quantity, right?
