It's that time of year again, Spring is in the air. To be honest, I'd probably say Spring is my favourite season. After the gloomy dark days of January and February, things start to get a bit better, the sun shines for longer and there's a positive vibe everywhere you go. I was born right in the middle(ish) of Spring too, which might account for why I love it so much, perhaps its just my natural body clock getting ready for the year ahead.

But I don't think I know anybody who doesn't like spring. Luckily, the weather has been absolutely glorious these past few days which I like - sometimes in summer I feel it can get a bit too hot, but spring is okay. Spring is a nice heat because there's still a refreshing cool breeze in the air and it's not clammy and sweaty like summer can be. And although spring weather is often unpredictable, I like it. I like how we can experience all four seasons within a matter of days or even hours. I like how varied my wardrobe is, with long sleeves and jackets as well as summer dresses.

I guess the main reasons for loving spring revolve around its meaning. Spring. Flowers grow and blossom, literally springing up out of the ground; and so should we spring into life. to me, January and February are often the hardest months of the year. They're dull, miserable, dark and cold. And there's nothing to look forward to. But then March and April come along, the clocks spring forward and Easter arrives. The daylight hours are longer and I no longer feel deprived of sunlight. Walking home from a 5pm lecture when I can actually see my footing is a truly fantastic feeling.
But I also feel so much more optimistic. I find myself exercising more and eating more healthily, and its not even to get a 'hot summer bikini body' its because I want to. Because when it's warm I'm just in the mood for some nice refreshing fruit or avocado toast. But in winter everything is cold and comfort eating occurs to keep warm.
And finally, everything just looks nicer. The world feels happier and more welcoming. the trees are green, the sky is blue and everything just looks more vivid, like its gone through an amazing instagram filter. It's definitely my favourite season for a spot of photography!
Thank you for reading, peace and love xo
Also, Happy Earth Day!!
