Life Update: Summer Detox!

Hi everyone!

I can't believe its been over two months since I last blogged. I've been super busy over summer and giving myself a well-earned break and detox. I have now returned to (hopefully) frequent blogging and I'm gradually setting to work on my dissertation - scary.

I passed my second year of uni with a 2:1, which I'm delighted with , especially considering I took a leave of absence during the year. When I first returned home for summer I spent my life binge watching Friends, before heading off for a week in Looe, Cornwall. Looe was absolutely beautiful and at the time, I hoped to write a full blog post about it but sadly I've not got round to doing that. I will tell you though, that the highlight of the holiday for me was visiting the little coastal village of Polperro - it was so calming, tranquil and beautiful and I would recommend going there if you're down in Cornwall!

Following the adventures down south, I returned home for a week to recover before attending my cousin's wedding in Wilmslow. She looked absolutely beautiful, the weather was gorgeous and it was just a perfect weekend! I just love weddings, especially when all the family I've grown up to know and love are there. (I'm aware this blog post is like a list but please bear with). A week after the wedding, I went to the Lake District with my family as we have done pretty much every year of my life. We had a week of no phone signal or WiFi, exercising in the form of fell walking and a complete detox from everyday contemporary life. Plus, my brother and I attempted (and of course conquered) Striding Edge for the very first time! If you don't know what that is, its a route up to Helvellyn which involves a scramble on hands and knees! It was so worth doing though, the views were phenomenal en route and luckily it was a warm sunny day too (I legit had a white line on my face where my glasses had been when I got sunburnt).

Since returning from my favourite place, life has been pretty relaxing, its had its ups and downs of course, but that's life. I've had day trips out and I'm keeping myself busy by reading, sewing and doing so much yoga!! Although I'm now looking forward to going back to Uni, learning new modules and getting back into a proper routine.

Thank you for reading,
Peace and love xo
