Hi Guys,
I have now arrived back in York and I'm officially a third year student. Its scary to think that I started university two whole years ago - its absolutely flown by! But what's even scarier is that in just nine months I'll have completed my degree, then I actually have to adult like non-students and enter the world of full-time employment. Don't get me wrong, I will be ready for the step when it comes to it, but right now I have to focus on work I'm doing this year.
Third year is a game changer for me. First year was the settling in year, second year was the intermediate year which had the most work and left me with a mid-degree crisis, a leave of absence and wishing I didn't have to have a degree behind me. But I'm back on my feet now. I've started my dissertation and I can't wait to start my new modules. I've moved house too and after living here for two days I already feel like I can call it my home (my bedroom is massive, my housemates clearly love me as they let me have the biggest)!
I definitely feel that I've matured and grown up a lot in the past two years, I feel like a sophisticated finalist who actually knuckles down to do a dissertation, its like all the nights out and excessive drinking of first year is well behind me. And I feel good. Its daunting, yes, but I feel ready to do this year, I just don't quite yet feel ready to be finished with uni.
Peace and love xo
